Ernie and his wife Heather established E A Janes Photographic in 1983 as a specialist picture library covering the natural world.

We hold over 60,000 images covering the natural world, birds, mammals, landscapes and the environment.

Until 1982 most of Ernie’s photographic career was spent in commercial and press photography.

Clients range from major UK magazines to calendar, greetings cards and stationery publishers.

Some of the most popular published images have been the cute and cuddly from which we have established an unrivalled reputation.
